ArtePolso — “Scar”

The Scar Edition is an ArtePolso timepiece featuring a hand-painted acrylic dial by Swedish artist Tyra Åsberg. Inspired by the infamous brother of Mufasa from The Lion King, the artwork channels darkness, ambition, and a raw, untamed power. The deep contrasts and sharp details on the dial reflect Scar’s complex nature — elegant yet dangerous. Each dial is painted entirely by hand, ensuring that every watch is one of a kind.

Tyra Åsberg, is an emerging artist from Stockholm. She has been painting for as long as she can remember, but during the Covid pandemic she began creating daily and has continued ever since. Her main mediums are watercolor and acrylic, though she enjoys experimenting with other techniques as well.

Tyra has yet to commit to a single style or subject, which gives her work a playful and diverse character. Her paintings range from realistic still lifes to imaginative scenes like rats on the subway or vintage interiors. Inspiration often comes from everyday life, but also from old films, antique furniture, and historic clothing. This mix of modern spontaneity and nostalgic elegance defines her creative world.
